20 Feb 2013I’m halfway through law school, but it seems like just yesterday I was sending in my application. With winds of fortune at my back, I accepted a spot at a school in South Florida, and rather eagerly began my first semester. I’m happy that, standing here at the halfway...Archived in B-Conscious

03 Sep 2012It’s that time of the year again! That time when Americans are bombarded by generic promises cooed through shiny white politician teeth. Also a time when America’s top dog and his biggest rival play highschool mean girls- talking mad shit behind each others backs (on national television). Every time we...Archived in B-Conscious

08 Aug 2012I’ve been having a hard time writing about my Camp Bisco experience because…well frankly I don’t wanna talk shit on my favorite band’s festival- a festival they have nurtured, loved, and headlined for the past 11 years. I also can’t say I had a bad time at Camp Bisco- I...Archived in Berries and JAM

21 Jun 2012When friends ask me how Lightning in a Bottle Festival was, I find myself calmly raving about the immeasurable pleasure of getting to do 2 yoga classes every day. I describe the pleasure of thinking, while in downward dog, about how excited I was to see an amazing artist like...Archived in Berries and JAM

25 Apr 2012I recently had a phone date with Kemy Joseph, one of the Sparkliest people I know. Conversations with Kemy are always refreshing because after a little small talk about the weather, we can cut straight to the chase of how the universe has been treating us, our latest epiphanies, and...Archived in B-Conscious

Good one Taylor! and so true...I'm finding that in life as well as law school, there's no point in trying to always "get it right"!Life Advice from a Law School

I love the reference to working to bring about widespread self awareness in people so that we may collectively bring about the tangible changes that need to get this planet back on track (environmental conservation, agriculture, politics, etc.) As a law student and spiritual activist trying to find the means to become the most effective human being I can be, I think you hit the nail on the head by articulating the massive impact we can have by helping eachother "wake up." Thank you for the encouragement and I look forward to kickin it TC style soon :)The Tribe has Spoken: An Interview with Tribal Council!

YO TREVOR. I love that you have a lot of passion and that you are INFORMING YOURSELF about what's really going on out there. (thanks for the humanevents.com link) INFORMATION is step 1, taking steps to rectify the problem, however small is step 2. I hope that, knowing what you do, you DON'T eat at Pizzahut or get your coffee fix at Starbucks (otherwise you'd be a giant hypocrite). Your message is important, but HATE ISN'T GOING TO GET US ANYWHERE!!! What I personally hope that the Occupy movement is, is a spark in each American to start informing themselves the way you do, and make informed decisions with their TIME and their WALLETS. Maybe voting in LOCAL elections for politicians with similar values, so that we can change government from bottom rung, going up. Maybe just cutting back on the fast food- whatever it is, it's an action with the intention to stop feeding the fat guy (corporate greed). The fact that Americans (and you have to admit they are not ALL the loathsome hippies you describe) are getting together to talk about anything is awesome. Usually only the crazy pro-life people get together to protest, or the zealot Christians to yell at you on the street for not covering your ankles. So if this can be the start of personal power, or the end of complete apathy in this country, then I think it's something good. So let those occupying Wall Street do their thing MAAAAN! Get the fuck out there and do YOUR thing to make a difference! ABOVE ALL, STOP HATING!! Love, ChristinaObservations from Occupy Wall Street
