STS9
My uncle told me something a while back. “I’m really glad I’ve gotten to see so much of the country because of music.” Damn right. I never thought that I’d be driving for over a day to the boonies of Ozark, Arkansas with a group of whacko miscreants heading to see some live music. Yet, here I am, sitting on the steps of my porch in the woods, watching over the still Lamprey River on the first actual nice night of spring here in New Hampshire, writing a preview for Wakarusa. A full moon is rising over the trees in...
Winds up to 75 miles per hour ravaged the Northeast as storm swells 12 feet high pushed the sea over the coast. Hurricane Sandy devastated the region, laying waste to neighborhoods across New York and New Jersey, and leaving thousands without power or trapped in flooded areas. This night wasn’t your ordinary Tribe show and most fans, myself included, came dressed to impress. Flat...
I didn’t realize at the time that my biggest problem wasn’t lack of ‘finding’ what I needed to do with my self, but the self-imposed limitations I was putting on my own mind! I recently had the luck of running into the wonderful Jessica Dugan at Sonic Bloom in Colorado. We got off to talking about a subject that seems all too familiar when I find myself talking to people my age: passing that big milestone in your life (particularly finishing college) and having no frikin idea what to do with yourself. Hitting an age where you realize that you...
