Previously dropping beats under the name “Slim Thugz,” Cody Yozipovic (Frequent-C) and Julian Garland (The Candyman) have successfully emerged from the depths of an electronic melting pot with the release of a mix off their upcoming EP “Drop Logic” under the new name “Crushendo.” The Drop Logic EP Minimix is comprised of an experimental ride picking up intense speeds throughout its play; it’s almost like dropping from the highest point of America’s steepest coaster, roaring with fusion, complete with all that hood rat jazz that bumps through a theme park intercom. Crushendo worked together indulging deep within the bass discovering a keen talent for the electronic genere’s ever-popular experiment with BPM. The duo that makes up Crushendo evolved by name and the release of “Drop Logic,” that exemplifies fluid transitions between tempos of 70 and 95 BPM, proves an impressive evolution of sound. While you might be able to take the slim out of the thug, you certainly can’t take the thug out of Crushendo. Get it while it’s hot and look for the release of the entire EP coming out this February, which will be available through Beatport, iTunes, and Additech.
